Hello! I am a mechanical engineer who loves libraries and literacy and helping people. Therefore I've been attending SILS at UNC-CH for my MSLS and hope to make a career change to become a librarian - ideally in a science or engineering library.

I am passionate about reading & books (how many times have you heard that?!) art, travel, design, hiking, running, hockey (watching - not playing) and many other misc things.

Growing up in Grand Rapids, MI meant that Chicago was our go-to city for culture, shopping, fun & excitement. Now that I live in NC, I am very excited for the opportunity to visit Chicago again. I highly recommend the Art Institute of Chicago, the Contemporary Museum of Art, Adler Planetarium, Shedd Aquarium and the views and beaches of Lake Michigan if you have time to explore - and definitely go shopping on the Magnificent Mile!
