ECS was founded in 1902 as an international nonprofit, educational organization concerned with a broad range of phenomena relating to electrochemical and solid-state science and technology. The ECS Digital Library is a searchable online compendium of the entire scope of ECS technical research and content. In 2012 the ECS Digital Library expands with the addition of three new technical journals: ECS Journal of Solid State Science and Technology, ECS Electrochemistry Letters, ECS Solid State Letters
join the Journal of The Electrochemical Society, the oldest peer-reviewed journal in electrochemistry and one of the most highly-cited in its field.
