I am passionate about competitive intelligence, especially primary collection, that is conversation with another human being, whether over the phone/SKYPE or in person. I have been doing competitive intelligence since 1985.
Another business passion is cooperative intelligence, that is putting the needs of the person you are talking to, or digitally connecting with, over your own. It is amazing how the floodgates of information sharing open, when you initiate giving, listen intently, ask good questions, and communicate in a way that makes the other person feel heard.
A personal passion, which I am now studying, is holistic nutrition and wellness at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, www.integrativenutrition.com, an online course out of NY City. I believe our relationship with food is driven by our relationship with our self and others. So what we eat, while often most emphasized, is less important than how we eat, and getting our lives in shape by stress reduction, exercise, nurturing relationships, enjoying our work, having fun--doing more of those things that bring us joy.
I look forward to seeing old friends and meeting new friends at SLA in San Diego & will be speaking on "Optimizing Your CI Collection" on June 10 @4:00-5:30pm as part of the Competitive Intelligence Division's program. I will attend most of the CI Division's sessions, and would love to see you.
